Native to the Cape York peninsula, this is a popular shade tree. Its flowers are an important food source for bees. BARK Graywhite, smooth, peeling in narrow strips. LEAF Stalked, gray-green, yellowish or red midvein. FLOWER Umbels with 3–7 stalked, white flowers. FRUIT Semi-spherical, dry capsule, 1⁄4–4 in (6–10 mm) long.
