BARK Smooth, mottled white, gray, brown, or red. LEAF Alternate, gray-green, quite thick, turning oval to lanceolate with age. FLOWER In axillary clusters of 7–11 creamy white flowers. FRUIT Semi-spherical capsule, 7⁄32– 5⁄16 in (7–8 mm) long, 3⁄16–1⁄4 in (5–6 mm) wide, yellow seeds.
